Sitting in an office chair hunched over a keyboard and squinting at a computer screen is not healthy for anyone. If you do find that you are starting to get aches and pains in your neck and shoulders you can make time to alleviate your discomfort without interrupting the flow of work.
Without leaving your office chair, sit upright and circle your shoulders at the same time to relieve tension.
Whilst remaining seated at your office desk tense and relax your shoulders which is also an excellent way to release pressure and stress.
Probably one of the most important things you should make sure that you do is to get out of your office chair and allow your body some movement circulating blood to all areas. Walk around outside, go to the canteen – just make sure you get up and take a stroll.
To release strain whilst standing, turn your back to your office desk and grip it tightly with the back of your hands stretching your arms back.
A few exercises in the day will keep the aches and pains far more bearable and also keep your brain functioning. A break away from work will bring you back feeling fresher and more able to tackle work.
